The acquisition
Cott joined the Valsoft group in 2024.
Cott Systems was acquired by Valsoft Corporation in 2024, joining a group of vertical-market software companies.
Valsoft buys and holds. It sets no fixed investment horizon and runs each company on its own rather than folding businesses into one another. Cott came out of it with a new leadership team and real investment behind the products.
What changed is pace. CottFile, CottPay, PDF/A archiving, Day Forward Indexing and Document Management System have all shipped since, with more on the way.
